- Commissioning Artwork
- I do not have time for free
art requests. Please don't ask.
-
- Private Commissioners - Prices
depend upon size, complexity and time spent. Please see example
to the left, or email for further details.
-
- For Publication - Situational,
illustrative cover art or spots for publication are negotiable
and prices will vary by project. Please email your terms for
further details.
-
- A Few Guidelines
- I will draw almost anything
you'd like, with a few exceptions:
- Artistic nudity is fine, but
I will not draw pornographic or suggestive imagery.
- I will not draw images that
are racist or offensive in any way.
- I am confident in my abilities
using pencil, colored pencil, and digital art programs (Photoshop
8). I have used many other mediums over the years, but I'm most
comfortable and have immediate access to these supplies. If and
until I become proficient in others, these are the only mediums
in which I offer commissions.
- Please look at the examples
of my work in the galleries on this website. Aquaint yourself
with the styles and typical subject matter I draw. I am willing
to work with your ideas, but there are limits to what I am capable
of. My strong points lie in animals, people and natural scenery,
in realistic or whimsical "story-book" styles. Machinery,
cityscapes, anime or heavily comic style art is probably best
commissioned elsewhere (see my links, there are many great artists
there that may well be better suited for these types of art).
- I will do portraits of people
(such as family members) or pets (any kinds!), but I need to
be supplied with at least three good quality photographs for
reference. In these cases, the more references you can supply
me, the more accurate your portrait will be.
- I will do celebrity portraits
from existing pictures or from scratch using several references,
provided your request does not ask for suggestive nudity or explicit
situations. Please understand, I have no moral problems with
nudity or eroticism in art. I simply believe those in the public
eye have a right to a bit of privacy. I'd also prefer that in
the event they ever see my work, they respect me for my talents
as much as I respect them for theirs.
- High-quality archival prints
are available for the majority of art you see on this site. The
only exception is commissioned work, which belongs to the person
who commissioned the piece. Prices are as follows:
- 5 x 7 (or approximate) - $5
- 8 x 10 (or approximate) - $10
- 11x 14 (or approximate) - $25
- Please note that these sizes
are approximate, as some pieces are odd sized. Prints can also
be made on museum quality textured fine art paper for an additional
$5.
-
- Shipping and Handling is $5
for the first two, or $9 for the largest within the US, or $12
and $18 respectively to Europe (other countries please ask for
a quote). This will get you USPS Priority Mail, shipped flat
between cardboard/foamboard.
-
-
- Payment
- I accept paypal, checks, or
money orders. Please do not send cash. When considering a commission,
please remember that the estimates do not include shipping costs.
